About the event
Billy Saffit and Captain Don were what we call fishin buddies, let your imagination go from there as to the shenanigans and such! During their many fishing expeditions, they (and others) formed our club back in 1981. Thou it is unclear if he ever served on the Board when it was chartered, he was instrumental in the formation and must have been, for the Fall tournament to be named in his honor. Old timers that are still with us, tell that he and Capt. Don also started the TAK events that are still held to this day.
