Don and Katie Morris Memorial Spring Fishing Tournament

Over 70 years ago Don and Katie Morris began the ferry service to North Core Banks. They had a passion for fishing and seeing others enjoy the pristine island. Many memories have been made through 3-4 generations as they ferried families and fishermen over to the banks. Both have wonderful supporters of our club thorough this service and donations for Club functions!

Don and Katie along with approximately 12 ORV Clubs from Maine to NC were instrumental in preserving access to Cape Lookout National Seashore. At that time, it was being considered to ban all ORV access to the island. Without them and many others, ferry service today would not exist nor our access to the island!

Come on out and pay tribute to them! Enjoy some fine fishing, beautiful scenery, fellowship, and maybe the catch of a lifetime, or at least a fish to enter into the tournament!
