About the event
Over 70 years ago Don and Katie Morris began the ferry service to North Core Banks. They had a passion for fishing and seeing others enjoy the pristine island. Many memories have been made through 3-4 generations as they ferried families and fishermen over to the banks. Both have been wonderful supporters of our club thorough this service and donations for Club functions!
Don and Katie along with approximately 12 ORV Clubs from Maine to NC were instrumental in preserving access to Cape Lookout National Seashore. At that time, it was being considered to ban all ORV access to the island. Without them and many others, ferry service today would not exist nor our access to the island!
Please note due to trout and flounder harvest being closed, Pompano will take their place as a category fish.
